For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. – John 3:16-17

Pastor Welcome

Welcome to Central Methodist Church King Mountain. Since 1874, people have entered this place of worship, felt the warmth of a Christian community, and sensed the empowering presence of a holy and loving God. By no means are we a perfect community of disciples but we strive to live a life in relationship with Jesus Christ.

We hope you’ll find us to be an encouraging and friendly family of Jesus Christ. Central is an enriching church community. Our mission is to “Live and Love as Christ.” This means that we not only serve God within the church walls but we also desire to serve God outside of the church walls. We invite everyone to experience the love and grace of our Almighty God.

The Global Methodist Church  is made up of interconnected disciples with a vision to join God in a journey of bringing new life, reconciliation, and the presence of Christ to all people, and to helping each person reflect the character of Christ. We would like to have the opportunity to get to know you and have you get to know us. We hope to meet you soon!

Nursery Services during Church Services and Sunday School Hour

We have nurseries available for children four-years-old and younger. We have paid nursery workers and our church members rotate responsibilities in the nursery. Childcare is available for both the Praise & Worship & Traditional services.

  • Infant nursery is for children birth – 1 year.
  • Preschool nursery is for children 2-4 years.

First Time Guest Frequently Asked Questions

We traditionally celebrate communion on the First Sunday of the month in the Traditional 10:00 am service and all are welcome to participate.

Be comfortable. If you’re in jeans, that’s fine; if you prefer to dress up, that’s fine too.

The church’s main parking lot is to the left of the church’s Christian Activities Center Building(CAC). Additional Parallel parking is available in front of the church.

We have ADA-compliant restrooms and space for wheelchairs in the building. Large-print bulletins are available at each worship service. Our services are recorded online, usually available mid-week, and our pastor is happy to provide copies of sermons upon request.

There’s a staffed nursery for children up through age 4. The Nursery is made available to members and visitors during both the early and late service including the Sunday School hour.

We do our best to make sure the Sunday bulletin explains what we’re doing in worship. Let us know if we’ve missed something that would have helped. We are a very friendly bunch and someone will greet you but there’s no pressure for you to introduce yourself.

Our members pledge to support the church financially. If visitors want to contribute, that’s great, but especially on your first visit, you’re our guest. No pressure!
